Buyer Rating:
Emily took time to get to know us and our specific needs. She was also patient when we were looking. We were limited in what we could see because many houses had steps to enter. She also remained positive when we were frustrated and thinking that we would never find anything that we could afford.
Just when we were ready to take a break from looking (we were frustrated with what was available and/or builders who were more concerned with us fitting their footprint than meeting our needs), Emily found the house we purchased.
My husband has CP and is in a wheelchair. From the beginning, Emily was aware of our needs and wants. Our biggest issue was that of an accessible bathroom. Not one that was merely ADA compliant, but the perfect one for Jim. We needed to build or find a house with space to make that perfect bathroom.
When Emily saw the listing for this house, she informed us and told us we needed to see it ASAP if we were interested. She met us and showed us the house. We decided to put a bid on the house. She helped us do all the things we needed to do. We were not preapproved for a loan so she used her connections to help us. Emily was our advocate and fought for us (yes, there was a bit of a bidding war). She knew how important it was for us to find the "perfect for us house".
Emily connected us with a financing company and helped push through our agreement so that we would be a viable candidate for purchase. She was awesome helping us stay on track with all the paperwork needing to be signed. Once again she was our advocate. I would not be surprised if she told the sellers about us and our need for accessibility and how this house would be perfect for us.
Our experience with this house was a whirlwind. It was a mere three weeks from the day we saw the house until we took possession. Emily helped us the entire time. We do not plan on moving from this house, but if we did, we would want Emily to be our realtor.
Additionally, Emily was still taking care of us weeks after the purchase of our house. Another of her clients had a ramp into their house. She knew we needed something for our front entry and helped us to purchase the ramp from them. It was a win win for both of us.
At our closing, Emily commented that we are now family and that she looked forward to seeing the house once bathroom renovations are completed and we move in.
